“And above all,
watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you,
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
― Roald Dahl

Raising Kane

I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday.I can't express how sad we are and how beloved he was.
One hundred eleven pounds of pure, friendly, happy, lick-y, amazing dog.

We found out in May that he was ill, and nothing could be done.
His last few weeks were spent with us showing him even more love than ever, and he ate absolutely anything he wanted:)Once he started to show signs of pain we knew it was time.He passed surrounded by love, kisses and promises. He was the best dog.

He never growled or barked, unless he was told to speak or he heard singing.
I'll never sing the birthday song or buy oreos again.
I will never stop missing him.

Goodbye my good boy.

Prayer of a Pitbull

Spirit in the sky, who watches over all animals: it is my prayer and my request that you grant greater understanding, and acceptance to humans; those who love us, and those who hate us.

That they will know how loyal we are, how brave we are, and how loving we are. Help them to accept us as a breed in whole and not let the few tragedies shine brighter then the many great traits that we have.

And those who would kill me, let them know, I forgive them even though I don’t understand their hatred. And those who would beat me, let them know I still love them, even though it is not the honorable way (to treat me).

Thank you for all the strong traits that you have given to me and my breed. Help those to know that I stand for courage, strength, loyalty, and bravery, and as my master already knows, let those who would come against my family know that I would surrely die defending them.

And just one thing that I would ask: let my master know, that if you should call me away, that I will wait patiently at those pearly gates until the one who chose me comes home.

Amen.

Here's what you need:
carnival Lulu doll
small plastic baseball helmet
brown floss
acrylic paint vanilla, peach, bubble gum pink, berry red, navy blue, honey brown, chocolate brown, black
variety of baseball stickers
dark blue scrapbook paper
silver tinsel
small plain box with clasp
glitter glue
glue stick
hot glue gun & glue
Directions:
Paint Lulu's face peach, add details with chocolate brown, honey brown, berry red, bubble gum pink
Add hair color.
paint on uniform and shoes
hot glue brown floss braids and plastic hat to head.
Add baseball sticker to her hand and set her aside
Glue dark blue scrapbook paper to lid of box then arrange stickers onto it
hot glue doll to lid
brush glitter glue around doll and stickers
hot glue silver tinsel around box

Tips:
The little helmet can usually be found in gumball machines in grocery stores
use a cigar box instead
you can make this for any sport...would be so cute for softball :)
Lulu and lot's of other awesome goodies can be found in Lisa's shop
Hope everyone has a safe happy holiday!
